Community Initiative Fund

The Community Initiatives Fund is a Special Purpose Fund created by the Government of Saskatchewan through The Saskatchewan Gaming Corporation Act. CIF receives a portion of the net revenues from casinos Regina and Moose Jaw via the Saskatchewan Gaming Corporation and distributes those proceeds to support community-based projects throughout Saskatchewan. More than 10% of the province’s population, primarily children and youth, benefit annually from CIF’s support of these initiatives.

Affinity Credit Union

The 4 areas where we like to focus our sponsorships are: financial wellbeing, community assets, environmental sustainability, and community economic development. Affinity Credit Union District Council Funding supports local projects and programs that help make our communities vibrant and strong is what district council funding is all about.

Cameco gives priority to initiatives that promote youth activities in the following areas: education, health and wellness and sports and recreation.

CN – Railroaders in the Community

We are proud of the hundreds of CN employees, their families, and retired employees who give generously of their time to local causes through our CN Railroaders in the Community program. CN supports their efforts, by providing grants to the organizations where our CN railroaders volunteer. The grants encourage a spirit of caring, and support our railroaders’ endeavours to make a difference in their communities.

SaskEnergy

SaskEnergy has a strong commitment to strengthening communities and the environment through our Community Investment program. SaskEnergy is a member of Imagine Canada and adhere to a formal sponsorship policy that prioritizes the environment, education, community causes, and sport or cultural events.

Six Rivers Fund

Community leaders from across northern Saskatchewan, Cameco and Orano have established a legacy trust fund that will provide funding for community projects for decades to come. Six Rivers Fund, an independent non-profit corporation, will support projects and initiatives across the northern administration district (NAD) that focus on youth, education, sports, recreation and health and wellness.

Saskatoon Community Foundation

Saskatoon Community Foundation holds donations in trust…in perpetuity. Only the income earned by the endowment is used to make grants. Every year, the foundation supports a wide range of community projects and initiatives.
